The ToeFX system consists of ClearToe Light Therapy using photo disinfection therapy. Clinical studies have shown a 76% success with no side effects. ClearToe therapy consists of two products: the ClearToe Serum and the ClearToe Therapy Light. The serum contains a non-toxic formulation with a blue dye molecule that targets fungal microorganisms. It is easily absorbed and applied with a single-use pen. After application, the feet are exposed to the Red LED therapy light for 15 minutes to complete the treatment. The therapy light triggers a reaction that disrupts the fungal cell membrane, effectively killing the fungal cells. The entire treatment is quick and performed in the clinic, eliminating the need for homecare between appointments, which is a common reason for treatment failure.
The improvement of fungal nail treatment results is typically gradual due to the natural pace of nail growth. However, with ToeFX, visible progress becomes evident quickly, and we document this with photographic evidence at each appointment to keep you motivated throughout the treatment.

During the initial appointment, a diagnostic fungal nail test is performed to ensure a positive result before beginning the treatment course. The duration of the first appointment varies taking up to 60 minutes in total based on the extent of nail preparation needed which may include debridement or fenestration using the Lacuna method.
Following preparation, the ToeFX treatment duration remains constant at just 30 minutes, regardless of whether 1 or 10 nails are being treated. This process is repeated every 2 weeks for 8-10 appointments, followed by monthly follow-up appointments until the nails are cleared (this can take 12 to 18 months for the nail to depending on the severity of the fungal). Subsequently, the nails are retested to confirm a clinical cure.
