IPL Treatments

If you're ready to address skin conditions like acne, rosacea, redness, and sun damage, this technology can effectively control these conditions, as well as delay visible signs of aging rejuvenating your skin's appearance.

Introduction

Visible Results

Intense pulsed light (IPL) treatment uses high-intensity light to address various skin concerns like sunspots, pigmentation, visible blood vessels, acne, rosacea, signs of aging as well as unwanted hair growth.

Originally introduced in 1992 by medical experts, IPL therapy has since shown to be a safe and effective option for treating skin pigmentation issues, vascular conditions, and hair removal. It utilises special flash-lamps and filters to deliver targeted light pulses, catering to different skin conditions while ensuring safety and effectiveness.

IPL treatment first received FDA approval in 1995 and has become a go-to solution for addressing skin imperfections and hair removal, offering a versatile and reliable option for enhancing skin health and appearance.

  • Initial Skin Consultation

Before starting any laser or IPL treatment, an initial skin consultation and patch test is mandatory. This will ensure all is well to go ahead with the treatment and that you fully understand and are happy with what the treatment process will be. The patch test will give you an idea of how the treatment will feel and how your skin may respond. The patch test must be carried out at least 48 hours prior to treatment. The results of the patch will then be checked before any treatment commences. The area to be treated must be four weeks clear of the sun and two weeks clear of any self-tanning lotions/spray.
